Transportation will be furnished by the Ellicottville Central School for participants in the Town of Ellicottville’s Summer Youth Program.
The Summer Youth Program offers swimming and field trips as an annual event for children in the towns of Ellicottville and Great Valley. For this year, it is scheduled July 2 through Aug. 2.
The Ellicottville Central School Board of Education approved transportation in a short meeting held April 10.
In other matters, the Board also unanimously accepted:
• a renewal of Policy #5660 covering the School Food Service Program of lunch and breakfast, as well as the Wellness Policy #5661, with no changes.
• the 2018-2019 school year calendar
• Superintendent Robert Miller’s report that state ELA testing was underway April 10 and April 11.
The Board then convened in an executive session to discuss two personnel matters and a contract negotiation.
The Board will next meet at 7 p.m. May 8 in the High School Cafeteria, where they will air a $12,753,502 budget proposition for 2018-2019, a proposition for a $36,000 lease for two 66-passenger International School Buses for each of the next five years, and a proposition for a $31,164 levy supporting the Ellicottville Memorial Library. A public hearing will follow the presentation. The propositions and two Board vacancies will be decided by District residents in a May 15 vote.
