Springville Center for the Arts is excited to present a large exhibit of local photographic art. A free reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, where the public can enjoy drinks, refreshments and meet the artists whose work is on display.
A tradition that started in 1999, the Community Photography Exhibit selections reflect of wide range of styles and interests. Participating artists come from many communities including Springville, Boston, Collins, East Otto, Alden, East Concord, Franklinville, Delevan, Ashford Hollow, Derby, Orchard Park, Hamburg and Buffalo. The artists include: Robert J. Adler, Mary Scharf Anderson, Lisa Crassi, Arti Degenfelder, Kathy Degenfelder, Steve Dent, Nicole DiMartino, Amanda Dinse, Linda Dugan, Donna Jordan Dusel, Linda Farrell Connors, Gerry Hashagen, Marty Hoffman, Damon Hudac, Ray Kent, Tara Lowry, Mary Mayerat, Robert McCloud, Diane Owens, Char Szabo-Perricelli, Holly Taylor, Janine Thompson, Martin Timm, Zachary Todtenhagen, Karl V. Miller, Kelly Wakelee and Edward White.
The work is on display at the Harold L. Olmsted Gallery inside Springville Center for the Arts, 37 N. Buffalo St., Springville. The exhibit will remain open until Oct. 13. Concurrent with the exhibit reception, SCA is hosting an event for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The Kids Rave Dance Party Party will take place at Arts Underground, 66 East Main St., Springville allowing for a night out for the whole family. More information is available at: SpringvilleArts.org.
