QUAKER RUN — Allegany State Park is offering free, informative and hands-on clinics for those who want to learn how to Geocache, kayak, paddle board, fly fish or mountain bike, starting in October.
On the first Wednesday of every month, various outdoor enthusiasts will share their knowledge and passion of their favorite activity and introduce park patrons with plenty of things to do.
The series will be held at the new Quaker Bath House or the Summit Warming Hut, depending on the activity.
This month’s program was about an in-depth talk on nature photography, which included going on a short hike and finding objects to photograph.
Each program will last approximately 1-and-a-half hours. Registration is not required.
