The Rotary Club of Ellicottville will once again sponsor the holiday tradition, Bob McCarthy’s Irish Christmas.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Ellicottville Brewing Company. Explore the tastes of Ireland featuring local restaurants serving a variety of Irish dishes. Cupcaked, Dina’s, EBC, Katy’s Café, Madigans, The Silver Fox and Villagio will provide an amazing culinary tour of the Emerald Isle.
It was McCarthy who said, “I love doing Irish Christmas, which is a night of Irish magic. I don’t know how the magic gets there, but it just does. That’s the beauty of it.”
Bob’s spirit and generosity live on through this event as the Rotary celebrates 14 years of this unique fundraiser. Along with the fabulous food, attendees will be able to bid on a variety of auction items. Homemade pies, pie boxes, birdhouses and other handcrafted items will be up for bid.
Local craftsmen Ed Frederickson and Hughey Dunn have volunteered to create unique pie boxes and special furniture. Believe it or not, some of Bob McCarthy’s creations will be auctioned off as well.
Help Santa’s Workshop by making a monetary donation. You can also bring an unwrapped gift to the event as McCarthy’s wagon will be parked in front of EBC. Santa’s workshop provides gifts and Christmas dinner to families in need in the Ellicottville area.
The spirit of the season is unmatched in Ellicottville, and Bob McCarthy’s Irish Christmas is a perfect opportunity to share it with friends. Share in Bob’s spirit and to help give back to families in the community.
